Ingredients
- 5 lbs russet potatoes
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 cup salted butter
- 4 tbs salt
Notes
- Be sure to start with cold water when boiling potatoes to ensure they cook evenly throughout.
- Recommended to eat with french cut green beans and meatloaf.
Directions
- Wash, peel and cut potatoes into ~2in pieces
- Rinse potatoes, then cover with 3” of cold water in a pot
- Bring to a boil on high then bring it down to between medium and medium-high for approximately 20 minutes, until can easily poke with fork. They shouldn’t fall apart, so not too soft!
- Strain potatoes and drain water
- Put potatoes in bowl and add butter, milk and salt and mix using a hand mixer until smooth.
