Ingredients
Cookie Dough
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ½ cups butter (softened)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 whole and 2 egg whites
- 2 ¾ cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
Sugar Mixture
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Cookie Dough
- Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
- In separate bowl, mix sugar, butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Then mix in eggs.
- Add flour mixture and mix until just combined
- Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour
Sugar Mixture
- Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC)
- Mix together sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Shape dough into 1 ¼ inch balls and roll into sugar mixture, then place onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Flatten each ball with flat bottom of drinking glass
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet after 5 minutes to wire rack to cool completely
