Refried Beans

Ingredients

  • 81 oz Bush’s pinto beans
  • ½ cup Salted Butter
  • 1 tbs Finally ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Drain cans of beans
  2. Add beans, pepper and butter to frying pan
  3. Turn on medium heat
  4. Mash! Don't use a blender, only use a masher.
  5. Leave on medium heat until it is bubbling. Patience!
  6. Turn burner to med-low and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionaly (scrap the bottom so they don't stick)
  7. It will have thickened a bit when finished and it will further thicken as it cools.
  8. Enjoy!
